Suzanne is principal of Onion is qualitative research agency which is positioned away from the usual generalist model.
The key focus of Onion is brand and communications development. The key difference of Onion is that it bridges the gap between understanding what makes great research and understanding what makes great communication, because it has a depth of experience in creating both.
Suzanne Dutton is Onion’s principal. She has 30 years experience in advertising and research in Australia and London, including Planning Director at McCannErickson Sydney. Since 2005 she has fine-tuned her qualitative research skills working with blue chip clients such as Kraft, Cadbury, McDonalds, Cereal Partners, Weight Watchers amongst others.
Through her advertising agency years, Suzanne felt the force of the creative rant against ad testing, fuelled on many occasions by research presentations that seemed closer to transcript than informed analysis. So it came to be that Suzanne felt her passion for and experience in, creating exciting and effective advertising within advertising agencies could be put to good use within the research industry.
Now armed with blue chip experience from both sides of the fence Suzanne is forging ahead in her mission to help create the brand stars clients need and the advertising they deserve.
