Neil has worked extensively in the public and private sectors as communication strategist, ministerial adviser, consultant on pubic affairs issues and as an in-house corporate communications manager.

Neil has more than 35-years experience in the management of large-scale corporate, financial, B2B and consumer programs in Australia and throughout the Asia Pacific.

He has worked in Asia as a Group Manager in Hong Kong with one of the world’s largest PR agencies where he provided corporate and financial communication counsel to clients throughout the region.

He has held senior corporate affairs positions with PA Consulting Group, Australian National Rail and was Public Relations Manager for Ansett Airlines from 1984-1988.

Earlier in his career, Neil worked as a journalist with newspapers in South Australia and Canberra.

In latter years Neil has had considerable experience on major Australian infrastructure projects including the MFP Development Corporation in Adelaide and the Very Fast Train Consortium based in Canberra.

In 2002 Neil established Red Agency and over a six year period built the agency to become a new force in the Australian PR scene with a reputation for getting the job done effectively and efficiently. He led the agency to win two national Public Relations Institute of Australia Golden Target Awards since the agency’s inception.

Neil has held a number of prominent roles in the public relations industry as a Fellow of the Public Relations Institute of Australia, a council member of the PRIA (NSW) and the chair of the PRIA’s Registered Consultancies Group a body of nearly 100 leading PR agencies in NSW. He has been a member of the course advisory committee for the BA Professional Communications degree at RMIT.

Over the past 12 months he has been actively involved in regional Victoria through participation in economic development and tourism initiatives. He is currently working on a major branding project for the Tarwin Valley located in South Gippsland.
