Murray is a proven marketer with an acute understanding of brand DNA and strategy.

Murray understands what it takes to build a great brand. He has over 30 years experience in the retail, financial and building sectors delivering innovative, differentiated and award-winning marketing and advertising campaigns to the Australian marketplace.

For 10 years, he worked at the marketing helm of one of Australia’s most loved retail brands, Target, as General Manager, Marketing. He shaped Target’s enviable progression from a low-end discount big-box retailer to a fashionable, mid-market, iconic Australian brand; he was the architect of Target’s very successful 100% Happy campaign and the strategic force behind the ‘Designers for Target’ program which included Stella McCartney, Zac Posen and Dita Von Teese.

Murray’s work has received many marketing and advertising excellence accolades, including awards from the Australian Marketing Institute and the Australian Catalogue Association.

Murray was also a Director of Target (Australia) from May 2011 to January 2012 and is currently the Alternate Director of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival and Member of the Retail Board, School of Fashion and Textiles, RMIT.
