Michael Graham

Michael Graham started in brand development in 1989 after retuning from the UK where he worked as a Company Secretary in a large retail group called Sears plc – then the parent Company of Selfridges, the famous department store.

After running his own business, Michael went back to the UK and in 1998 started at Landor Asscoiates in a business development role. At the time Landor had no strategic consulting approach that was commonly used in the the network. This led to Michael and a small group of colleagues being appointed to develop a consulting toolkit which became the Landor Brand Driver methodology.

In 2001 Michael joined the Landor affiliate in Sydney  – LKS as it was known – and was appointed Managing Director in 2003. In 2004 the business was acquired by WPP and became a member of the Landor network.

Michael’s direct client programme experiences range across utilities, banking, insurance, and almost every category of FMCG with a focus on food and drinks. Clients include PepsiCo, Diageo, Lion Nathan, Sydney Olympic Park, Telstra and P&G.

As well as leading the growth agenda for the office, Michael was on the Landor strategy board for a number of years and became an acknowledged authority on the economic value of brands as they relate to market capitalisation and business performance.

In 2009 Michael left Landor to pursue an alternative career. Today he is the Founder and CEO of Mercurien Pty Ltd a specialist in motor vehicle telemetry, but still maintains a connection with the design and branding industry.
